Milford on Sea

Milford on Sea is approximately 2 miles south from Everton Village and offers stunning sea views towards Christchurch Harbour and across to the Isle of Wight. It is also home to the oldest Post Box (or Pillar Box) in Hampshire, dating back to Victorian times.

 

New Milton & Barton on Sea

New Milton is 5 miles west from Everton Village. This small town offers 4 major supermarkets and a range of shops in its high street and surrounding roads. Approximately, 1 mile south is Barton on Sea which offers superb coastal walks and is the start of the Solent Way. Barton on Sea also has a Golf Club.

Lymington

Lymington, 3 miles east, is a Georgian market town which today is a major yachting centre with two marinas. The High Street offers a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafés. The lower part of the town is cobbled streets which lead down to the Quay.

There is a Saturday market with stalls offering local produce, crafts, clothes and antiques.

There is also a Saturday morning Park Run at Woodside Park, starting at 9am. For walkers, there is a 4 mile (8 mile circular) walk along the sea wall to Keyhaven Nature Reserve.

The New Forest

The New Forest is the smallest National Park in England. It is home to thousands of free-roaming livestock and deer, including the popular New Forest Ponies. The forest offers many, many miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycle paths for visitors and residents to enjoy. The nearest to Everton Village is Wilverly Inclosure, approximately 5 miles north of the village.

Wilverley Inclosure is a mixture of conifers and broadleaves, old and young, with open areas, making it a stunning and interesting place to explore by foot or on bike. For more information visit Wilverley Wander Trail

Driving or cycling to Wilverley Inclosure takes you through the small villages of Hordle, Sway and Tiptoe.
